My sister has often used this phrase to her kids, and I think my mom used to use it on us... and I've been known to use it occasionally myself. (Along with another of my sister's more creative instructions, "behave or I'll rip off your head and shit in your neck.") Anyway, I just today learned that this is from a 1943 Nat King Cole
song. Cool!
